Company Profiles: Whyalla business diversity

Whyalla Chamber of Commerce and Industry
...from the February 2012 e-Newsletter

Welcome to the Whyalla Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This section of our e-Newsletter and website will showcase local business and the services they can offer. For the first edition, we will take you through the recent changes to the Chamber, and what you can expect from us in the future.

As businesses need to change to stay competitive, it is vital for the Chamber to continually evolve to maintain its relevance and to meet the expectations of its membership.

The Chamber Executive has renewed itself to take a strong, committed approach to servicing its membership base to the best a non-profit organisation can. The delivery of information, providing networking opportunities and acting as an advocate for local business are all roles the Chamber provides and will continue to do so.

Our recently re-vamped website, along with a bi-monthly e-Newsletter, are central to our interaction with the members. Providing greater access to local content and interaction between the Chamber and members are key objectives of the Chamber.
Our networking events will be structured with speakers to keep you up-to-date with major projects underway or planned for our community. Additionally, the Chamber will seek professionals to give presentations on topics that will help you sustain or develop your business.

In the coming months, the Chamber will conduct a member survey to analyse what are the important issues that contribute to or negate from the success of your business. This will form the platform of our lobby and advocacy efforts. In the mean time, if you and your peers have a shared issue that you believe the Chamber may assist with, please approach the Chamber at any time.

The Chamber will always attempt to respond to the needs of its members, and we will continue to develop our own activities in line with your expectations and the evolution of business, enterprise and Government in Whyalla, the Upper Spencer Gulf and South Australia.

If you are a member of the Whyalla Chamber of Commerce and Industry and would like to register your business in future editions of the Company Profiles, please contact the Chamber.
